UM, THIS IS ABOUT THE CASE THAT I HANDLED FOR THE DEPARTMENT AGAINST MR. DOSE A LAST YEAR WHERE DISCIPLINE WAS UPHELD AGAINST HIM.

OBVIOUSLY I UNDERSTAND THAT HE'S UNHAPPY ABOUT THAT, BUT HE CONTINUES TO TRY TO BRING THINGS IN FRONT OF THIS BOARD ABOUT THIS ISSUE.

UM, YOU ALL HAVE CONTINUED TO DISMISS THOSE THINGS.

UM, AND I WOULD ASK THAT YOU CONTINUE TO DISMISS THEM.

UM, THIS IS THE FIRE AND POLICE CIVIL SERVICE BOARD.

YOU DON'T HAVE JURISDICTION OVER THE CONDUCT OF ATTORNEYS.

UM, HE RECOGNIZES THAT EVEN IN THE AGENDA ITEM THAT YOU DON'T HAVE JURISDICTION OVER IT, BUT I DO WANT TO POINT THAT OUT, UM, THAT LIES WITH THE OFFICE OF DISCIPLINARY COUNSEL.

NOW, MR. DOROTHY DID NOT MENTION TO YOU THAT HE HAS MADE A COMPLAINT AGAINST ME TO THE OFFICE OF DISCIPLINARY COUNSEL ABOUT IS HEARING FROM LAST YEAR.

UM, THAT COMPLAINT THAT HE MADE WAS INITIALLY DISMISSED BY THE PROSECUTOR.

HE THEN APPEALED THAT IT WAS SENT TO A HEARING COMMITTEE.

AND JUST LAST WEEK, THE HEARING COMMITTEE AFFIRMED THE DISMISSAL.

UM, SORRY, I'M HAVING TROUBLE WITH THE CONNECTION.

PLEASE TRY AGAIN IN A MOMENT.

UM, AND THAT DISMISSAL OF THE HEARING COMMITTEE, THEIR RULING WAS FILED WITH THE BOARD ON JULY 20 OF LAST WEEK.

SO THAT MATTER WAS DISMISSED.

AND THEN THAT DISMISSAL WAS UPHELD ON APPEAL, NOT WITH THIS BOARD THAT WAS WITH YOU LOUISIANA, UH, ATTORNEY DISCIPLINARY BOARD, UM, HANDLED WITHIN THE OFFICE AND DISCIPLINARY COUNCIL.

SO THESE SAME ALLEGATIONS THAT HE JUST REPETITIVELY HAS MADE TO THIS BOARD, HE HAS FILED IT WITH THE APPROPRIATE, UM, BOARD AND THEY HAVE DISMISSED THAT NOW TWICE.

UM, I BELIEVE THERE'S NOTHING MORE THAN AN ATTEMPT TO INTIMIDATE ME.

AND MY ROLE AS COUNSEL FOR THE BRP D IS TRYING TO IMPACT MY ABILITY TO CONTINUE TO REPRESENT THE DEPARTMENT, BUT I WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO.

UM, I WOULD ASK THAT YOU DISMISS THIS AGENDA ITEM THAT YOU REJECT HIS REQUEST TO PLAY VIDEO.

SO WE WANT TO MOVE AS SWIFTLY AS POSSIBLE TO GET SOMEBODY IN THERE SO WE CAN CONTINUE TO HANDLE THE BUSINESS OF THE BOARD.

I AM A RETIREE OF CITY PARISH.

I ACTUALLY RETIRED IN JUNE OF 2019 WITH 31 YEARS OF SERVICE WITHIN THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS.

UH, I SPENT THE FIRST 15 YEARS OF THOSE, UH, OF THAT CAREER IN THE ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION WHERE I HANDLE ENFORCEMENT, UH, MONITORING AND, UM, PUBLIC EDUCATION FOR OUR STORM WATER AND PRETREATMENT PROGRAM.

UH, THE NEXT 16 YEARS WERE SPENT AT THE, UH, SENIOR LEVEL AT PUBLIC WORKS WHEREIN I WAS PROMOTED TO THE ROLE OF ASSISTANT PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR FOR WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT.

IN THAT ROLE, I HANDLED, UM, ALL OF THE TRAINING FOR THE DEPARTMENT.

I WORKED ON, UH, SUCCESSION PLANNING.

I OVERSAW RISK MANAGEMENT, SAFETY, EMPLOYEE RELATIONS, UNION RELATIONS.

AND I ALSO REPRESENTED THE DEPARTMENT BEFORE THE PERSONNEL BOARD THAT HANDLED PUBLIC WORKS AND OTHER DEPARTMENTS EXCLUSIVE OF FIRE AND MUNICIPAL POLICE.

UH, IN THAT ROLE, I CONDUCTED INTERNAL INVESTIGATIONS.

AND, UM, YOU NAME IT? I DID IT.

I REPRESENTED THE DEPARTMENT ALSO AT THE 19TH JDC AS WELL AS A COUPLE OF TIMES TO THE, UH, THE DISTRICT COURT.

AND I THINK I HAD A GOOD TRACK TRACK RECORD.

I'M, THEY'RE PROUD OF THE CAREER THAT I HAD AT CITY PARISH.
