THIS NUMBER IS NOT FINAL, THOUGH.

AS ADJUSTMENTS AND CHA CHANGES CHARGES WILL CONTINUE TO BE RECORDED FOR ANOTHER ONE TO TWO MONTHS.

AS OF JANUARY 31ST, UH, FOR 2023, EXPENDITURES ARE $3,213,025 AND 7 CENTS, OR 6.3% OF THE OPERATING BUDGET THROUGH JANUARY.

WE SHOULD HAVE SPENT NO MORE THAN 8.34% OF THE BUDGET.

CASH COLLECTIONS FROM PROPERTY TAXES FOR 2023 ARE SLIGHTLY AHEAD OF THOSE COLLECTED LAST YEAR AS WE ARE 2.1 MILLION AND 4.43% AHEAD OF 2022.

CASH COLLECTIONS FOR 2022 WILL BE FINALIZED WHEN FOURTH QUARTER INTEREST EARNINGS ARE POSTED, WHICH AGAIN, MIGHT TAKE ANOTHER ONE TO TWO MONTHS.

AND THEY ARE, UM, MOVING ADDITIONAL, UH, ITEMS TO ONE HALF OF THE ROOM SO THAT THEY CAN BEGIN THE WORK ON THE FLOOR OF THE SERVER ROOM.

AND THEN THEY'LL MOVE, WE'LL DO THE, YOU KNOW, JUGGLING CHESS PIECE, MOVE FROM THIS, FROM HERE TO HERE SO WE CAN WORK AND THEN HERE TO HERE SO WE CAN WORK UNDER THAT.

REVIEWED THE PROJECT TIMELINE AND JUST BASICALLY THE WHOLE, UM, APPARATUS OF HOW IT IS TO DO BUSINESS WITH THE CITY AND THE CONTRACTOR.

WHAT EACH OF OUR RESPONSIBILITIES ARE.

THEY HAD GOOD SUGGESTIONS AND SOME PRELIMINARY DRAWINGS TO SHOW HOW WE MIGHT, MIGHT BRING THE PROJECT A LITTLE BIT FURTHER DOWN IN COST.

UH, ON FEBRUARY 13TH, WE MET WITH THE ARCHITECTS AND ARCHITECTURAL SERVICES TO REVIEW THE PROPOSED CHANGES.

UM, AND SOME OF THE CHANGES THAT WE WILL PROBABLY MOVE FORWARD WITH INCLUDE AT THE, AT THE, THE SOUTH SIDE, THERE'S A DETENTION POND, AND THE LOCATION OF THE DETENTION POND WAS GONNA REQUIRE US TO MOVE A GAS LINE, BUT IF WE RELOCATE THE DE DETENTION POND, WE WON'T NECESSARILY HAVE TO MOVE THE GAS LINE, AND THAT WILL SAVE US SOME MONEY.

SO THAT'S ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE'RE GONNA BE DOING, UH, REDUCE SOME OF THE LANDSCAPING.

TYPICALLY, WE ALWAYS HAVE A LOT OF LANDSCAPING AND, UM, AND WE CAN ALWAYS ADD MORE LATER, BUT MANY TIMES WE'VE, WE'VE OPENED A BRANCH AND IT'S BEAUTIFULLY LANDSCAPED AND IN ABOUT FIVE YEARS IT'S BEAUTIFULLY OVERGROWN.

SO, UM, I DON'T THINK THAT'S GONNA BE A REAL ISSUE.

UM, WE DID SOME REDUCTION OF, OF LANDSCAPING AT SOUTH BRANCH AS WELL.

UH, WE WERE GOING TO HAVE SOME CONCRETE PAVERS JUST KIND OF AS AN EDGING IN THE COURTYARD.

AND THE SUGGESTION WAS TO RE UH, SUB SUBSTITUTE CONCRETE FOR THAT, UM, AT THE ARCHIVES BUILDING, UH, PROPOSAL TO REDUCE THE SIZE OF THE BUILDING AND RECONFIGURE IT.

IF YOU REMEMBER THAT THE, THE ORIGINAL BUILDING HAD TWO LITTLE INDENTATIONS, WELL, THOSE ADD TO THE COST, AND SO THEY SUGGESTED CHANGING IT TO A, JUST A RECTANGLE.

UM, AND THEY WERE ABLE TO RECONFIGURE IT AND PROVIDE ALL THE FEATURES WE NEEDED, WILL STILL HAVE THE SAME AMOUNT OF, UH, AUTOMATED COMPACT SHELVING.

AND SO, UM, SO WE'RE OPEN TO THAT SUGGESTION.

UM, SO WE'D BE REDUCING THE FOOTPRINT THERE ALSO, OR WE WOULD BE REDUCING THE FOOTPRINT, BUT WE DON'T HAVE THE FINAL NUMBERS ON THAT YET.

OKAY.

UH, RECONFIGURE THE, UM, THE FACILITIES, WORKROOM STORAGE AND MECHANICAL ROOMS TO ACCOMMODATE THE NEW SHAPE.

AND THEN, UH, SUBSTITUTE METAL PANELS ON ONE AND PERHAPS PART OF A SECOND SIDE.

UM, AND, AND CLAD IN BRICK ON THE OTHER SIDES, THE SIDES THAT FACE THE FRONT AND THE SIDES THAT FACE THE COURTYARD.

SO RIGHT NOW WE'VE GOT IT ON THREE SIDES.

THE NORTH SIDE THAT FACES THE COURTYARD, THE EAST SIDE THAT FACES THE FRONT, THE SOUTH SIDE THAT FACES MANGO ROAD AND THE BACK SIDE, THE WEST SIDE IS, UH, IS BACK OF THE HOUSE WORK AREA.

SO WE'RE PROBABLY GONNA USE METAL PANELS FOR THAT.

UM, OKAY, THIS IS A SMALL DETAIL, BUT CHANGE THE FULLY CONCEALED SPRINKLER HEADS TO SEMI RECESSED HEADS.

I'M PRETTY SURE ALL OF YOU WANDER AROUND THE BUILDINGS LOOKING UP AT THE SPRINKLER HEADS SAYING, I CAN SEE THEM.

NO, I CAN'T SEE THEM.

AND IT, IT DOESN'T CHANGE THE FUNCTIONALITY.

ONE OF THE THINGS THEY SUGGESTED WAS REMOVING THE GABLE BUMP OUTS.

SO WE HAD THREE GABLE BUMP OUTS, ONE IN TEENS, ONE IN CHILDREN'S, AND ONE IN THE MEETING ROOM.

THEY WEREN'T HUGE, BUT THEY JUST BUMPED OUT AND GAVE A LITTLE BIT MORE CHARACTER.

AND SO IN THE, IN THE BUMP OUT IN THE MEETING ROOM, INSTEAD OF THE, THE RE RETRACTABLE STAGE BEING IN THAT BUMP OUT, IT'LL BE FLUSH WITH THE WALL.

IT'S NOT REALLY GONNA MATERIALLY AFFECT PERFORMANCE, BUT THAT'S ONE OF THE SUGGESTIONS.

THE OTHER SUGGESTION TO MOVE THE, REMOVE THE BUMP OUTS ON THE TEEN'S SIDE AND THE CHILDREN'S SIDE, IT WOULD MAKE IT MORE CONSISTENT ON THAT SIDE AND IT WILL, YOU'LL LOSE A LITTLE BIT OF ROOM, NOT A HUGE AMOUNT, AND IT WE'LL HAVE TO RECONFIGURE THE FURNITURE A LITTLE BIT.

PART OF THAT IS THAT THE GABLE BUMP OUTS ADD A CONSIDERABLE COST.

SO, SO THAT'S ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE ARE ENTERTAINING AT THIS POINT.

UM, FINDING MORE ECONOMICAL LIGHTING IN THE FIXTURES IN SOME AREAS.

SO WE WON'T CHANGE THE SIGNATURE LIGHTING IN THE CHILDREN'S AND TEENS.

UM, YOU MAY REMEMBER THAT WE DID SOME, UH, VALUE ENGINEERING OF SOME OF THE LIGHTING AT SOUTH BRANCH AS WELL, SO WE'RE FOLLOWING SIMILAR THINGS.

WE DIDN'T, THEY, THOSE WERE THEIR SUGGESTIONS.

SO IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE FOR ME IT'S LIKE THIS IS KIND OF ONE OF THE STANDARD PRACTICES IF THEY NEED TO DO THAT.

UM, REMOVE THE HIGH GLASS ON THE NORTH, NORTH AND SOUTH WALLS OF THE BLACK HERITAGE ROOM.

SO WE HAD SOME HIGH GLASS, ALL THREE SIDES.

WE'LL STILL HAVE IT ON THE WEST SIDE, SO, UM, WE'LL STILL HAVE PLENTY OF LIGHTING THERE.

AND I THINK, MARY, YOU SAID SOMETHING ABOUT NOT HAVING TO WORRY ABOUT PAINTINGS FADING SO MUCH IF WE, WE DON'T HAVE THOSE WINDOWS, BUT THEY'RE HIGH WINDOWS.

IT'S NOT LIKE YOU'RE GONNA BE ABLE TO LOOK OUT OF THEM UNLESS YOU'RE VERY, VERY, VERY TALL.

UM, CHANGE THE CEILING TILES FROM ONE BY FOUR SIZES TO TWO BY TWOS.

UM, REDUCE THE NUMBER OF DOORS WITH ACCESS CONTROL.

UM, ACTUALLY WE'RE BRINGING IT IN LINE WITH WHAT WE DID DONE AT GREENWOOD SPRINGS AND AT JONES CREEK AND AT SOUTH BRANCH.

UM, SO THAT'S REALLY NOT, NOT A PROBLEM FOR US.

AND, UM, THE CART ACCESS, IT'S A, IT'S A GOOD THING TO HAVE FOR SECURITY IN, IN NECESSARY PLACES, BUT IT ALSO IS FAIRLY EXPENSIVE.

UM, LET'S SEE, RELOCATE THE CHILLED WATER PUMPS AND ACCESSORIES INTO THE BOILER ROOM.

SO WE DON'T NEED A CANOPY OVER THE PUMPS.

THEY WERE GONNA USE A LAMINATE, UH, WE'RE GONNA PROBABLY CHANGE TO AGY BOARD WITH, UM, WITH CORNER GUARDS AND, AND PAINTED.

SO IT'LL STILL BE ATTRACTIVE.

IT'S JUST, UM, IT'S JUST A COST SAVING FEATURE.

UM, AND LOWER THE HEIGHT OF THE GLASS AT THE PROGRAM ROOMS. AND YOU MAY REMEMBER THAT WE DID THIS AT THE SOUTH BRANCH.

SO IT'S, IT'S, AGAIN, IT'S BACK OF THE HOUSE.

AND, UM, WE HAD SOME COLOR BANDING ON SOME OF THE GLAZING BEHIND THE INTERIOR SIGNAGE, SO IT WAS A LITTLE VINYL COLOR

AND THAT RIGHT NOW IS, IS ON THE TABLE FOR AS A POSSIBLE COST SAVINGS.

THE PLAN IS TO COMPLETE THE UPDATE OF THE ARCHIVES BUILDING AND HAVE IT READY FOR BID.

AND THEN ONCE THAT GOES OUT FOR BID, THE CONTRACTOR, THE ARCHITECTS WILL UPDATE THE DOCUMENTATION FOR THE LIBRARY PORTION AND HAVE THAT GO OUT FOR BID AT A LATER TIME.

AND, UM, WE DON'T HAVE A REVISED TIMELINE YET, BUT I THINK, UM, THE ARCHITECTS HAVE BEEN PRETTY, UM, THEY'VE BEEN WORKING DILIGENTLY AND I THINK, I DON'T THINK WE'RE GONNA HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THAT.

UM, WE, WE COULD CONSIDER, DEPENDING UPON HOW THE NUMBERS COME BACK, WE COULD, WE CAN DISCUSS THE POSSIBILITY OF ADDING BACK SOME OF THESE VE THINGS LIKE THE BUMP OUTS AT THE, AT THE MAIN, YOU KNOW, AT THE, IN THE MAIN, IN THE LIBRARY PORTION.

UM, WE ESTIMATE THE VA SAVINGS TO BE ABOUT 900,000 TO A MILLION DOLLARS.

AND AS YOU RECALL, IT WAS OVER A MILLION DOLLARS FOR, UM, OVER BUDGET.

UM, EVEN AT THIS SAVINGS, WE MAY STILL FIND THAT WE HAVE TO PROVIDE SOME ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE LIBRARY PORTION OF THE PROJECT, BUT I THINK WE'VE MADE A LOT OF PROGRESS AND I DON'T THINK WE'VE, WE HAVEN'T COMPROMISED THE INTEGRITY OR THE ATTRACTIVENESS OF THE BUILDING.

AND THAT'S WHAT I WAS GONNA ASK YOU.

UH, WE, WE'VE HAD SOME VERY ATTRACTIVE LOOKING, UH, THINGS AT THE VIGNETTE I WENT TO, TO, TO SEE IT.

IS IT GONNA CHANGE IT, YOU'RE SAYING YOU'RE TAKING AWAY SOME OF THE ARCHITECTURAL, UH, FEATURES THAT, WELL, WE'RE KEEPING ALL THAT, THAT FRONT FACADE THE SAME.

SO INITIALLY IN THE ARCHIVES YOU HAVE A WINDOW, A WINDOW AT THE MEETING ROOM AND A WINDOW AT THE CHILDREN'S ROOM.

AND THE ARCHIVES HAD THE SAME KIND OF WINDOW.

SO EVERYTHING WAS COHESIVE AND MATCHED.

AND THEY SUGGESTED TAKING THE WINDOWS AND MOVING THEM TO ONE SIDE AND, AND HAVING A BRICK FACADE IN THE MIDDLE.

AND WE DECIDED THAT IT WAS BETTER TO MAINTAIN THE SAME LOOK RIGHT.

ACRO ALL ACROSS THAT FRONT.

AND SO THE VALUE WAS, WAS NOT EXTREME.

AND SO WE FELT LIKE THAT WAS A, THAT WAS SOMETHING WE WANTED TO RETAIN.
