WE'VE WORKED WITH CITY PARISH PLANNING STAFF AND OUR TWO COUNCILMEN, DWIGHT HUDSON AND ROWDY GO DAY TO MAINTAIN OUR NEIGHBORHOOD AS COUNTRY HOME ESTATES WITH LARGER SIZE LOTS FOR THE PRIVACY, SAFETY, AND THE LIFESTYLE THAT, UH, THE NEIGHBORHOOD PROVIDES US.

THE VERY REASONS THAT WE CHOSE THIS, UH, PARTICULAR NEIGHBORHOOD TO BE OUR HOMES AND AND TO RAISE OUR FAMILIES.

UH, FUTURE BE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN STATES IN ITS LAND USE.

GOAL NUMBER FOUR IS TO MAINTAIN, STABILIZE, AND STRENGTHEN EXISTING NEIGHBORHOODS, MAKING THEM PLACES WHERE NEW RESIDENTS ARE ATTRACTED TO LIVE AND SECTION ACTIONS TO SUPPORT OBJECTIVE STATES, PRESERVE THE CHARACTER OF ESTABLISHED RESIDENTIAL NEIGHBORHOODS BY REQUIRING THAT NEW DEVELOPMENT COMPLEMENT THE NEIGHBORHOOD'S CHARACTERISTICS.

WE'RE SIMPLY TRYING TO MAINTAIN THE CHARACTER AND INTEGRITY OF OUR NEIGHBORHOOD WITH LARGER LOTS AND LESS DENSITY AS IT WAS ESTABLISHED DECADES AGO.

AND IN A MANNER AS PROVIDED IN THE GOALS AND GUIDANCE OF FUTURE BR.

THE LIFESTYLE AND CHARACTER OF THIS NEIGHBORHOOD HAS MADE IT A HIGHLY DESIRABLE PLACE TO LIVE.

IN THE LAST SEVERAL MONTHS, FOUR YOUNG FAMILIES HAVE PURCHASED LOTS HERE ON PICO LANE WHERE THEY WILL BUILD OR RENOVATE HOMES.

FUTURE VR SAYS IT PROVIDES FOR OPTIONS TO RESIDENTS.

OUR NEIGHBORHOOD HERE ON PICO LANE IS PART OF THAT OPTION AND THAT IT PROVIDES AN ATMOSPHERE AND CHARACTER THAT APPEALS TO A LARGE NUMBER OF CITIZENS WHO DON'T WANT TO LIVE IN THE SMALLER LOTS OF SUBDIVISIONS BEING DEVELOPED TODAY.

OUR NEIGHBORHOOD PROVIDES CITIZENS WITH A, UH, WITH A DIFFERENT OPTIONS AND CHOICES OF WHERE AND HOW THEY WISH TO LIVE AND RAISE A FAMILY IN THIS PARISH.

WE FOLLOWED AND MET THE LAWS AND CODES OF THIS PARISH AS ACKNOWLEDGED BY THE PLANNING DEPARTMENT AND OUR COUNCILMEN.

SECONDLY, I WENT THROUGH A LOT OF THE TAX RECORDS 'CAUSE THEY'RE ALL ONLINE ON A PER ACRE BASIS.

THIS OR SWEET SPOT AND THE, UH, HALF ACRE, ONE ACRE ZONING FOR THE CITY WHERE THEY GET A LOT MORE MONEY COMING IN THAN THEY'RE PAYING OUT.

AND THAT, I'M SURE THAT HASN'T CHANGED.

THERE'S A LOT.

IT DEPENDS ON THE DENSITY 'CAUSE THERE'S TAX RETURNS GOING FAR OUT IN THE RURAL PROPERTY, OF COURSE.

SO LOW AND YET MORE IN THE CENTER OF TOWN, BUT THEY'RE DECLINING AS YOU GO DOWN WITH LESS DENSITY.

BUT THERE'S A NICE SPIKE IN THE MIDDLE AT THIS SIZE PROPERTY.

THIS, HOWEVER, IS IS ONLY AFFECTING THOSE PROPERTY OWNERS THAT ARE CHOOSING TO UNDERTAKE THESE, UH, THIS ADDITIONAL STRINGENT ZONING REQUIREMENT.

UM, SO I, I WANT THOSE, I WANT THE PUBLIC TO KNOW THAT THIS IS A CHOICE FROM THOSE NEIGHBORS CHOOSING TO DO THAT, CHOOSING TO COME TOGETHER AS A COMMUNITY.

UM, BUT IT DOES NOT CHANGE ANYTHING THAT MIGHT HAPPEN ON A NEIGHBOR IN THE AREA THAT, THAT DIDN'T DECIDE TO UNDERTAKE THIS.
