TA 1 24 FORENSIC FACILITY.

THIS IS A UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT CODE TEXT AMENDMENT THAT WAS INITIATED BY THE METROPOLITAN COUNCIL.

THIS PROPOSED TEXT AMENDMENT ADDS A DEFINITION FOR FORENSIC FACILITIES AS A SEPARATE USE FROM HOSPITALS AND OTHER MEDICAL FACILITY TYPES BY ADDING A SECURED STRUCTURE COMPONENT AND ALLOWS THEM TO OPERATE WITHIN SPECIFIC ZONING DISTRICTS.

HEAVY COMMERCIAL ONE AND HEAVY COMMERCIAL TWO WITH THE APPROVAL OF OF A MAJOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AS PART OF THE MAJOR CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT APPROVAL LIMITATIONS WITHIN HEAVY COMMERCIAL ONE AND HEAVY COMMERCIAL TWO ZONING DISTRICTS WERE ADDED TO PROVIDE SEPARATION OF USES INCLUDED, INCLUDING NOT BEING LOCATED WITHIN A RESIDENTIAL SUBDIVISION, ALSO LOCATED A MINIMUM OF 1000 FEET FROM A SCHOOL PARK OR RESIDENTIAL DWELLING.

ALSO REQUIRING LANDSCAPE SCREENING ALONG ALL PROPERTY LINES.

AGAIN, THIS IS A TEXT AMENDMENT TO MODIFY CHAPTER 19 TO ADD A DEFINITION DEFINING FORENSIC FACILITY AND MODIFYING CHAPTER NINE OF THE UNIFIED DEVELOPMENT CODE.

COMMENTS AND THE AT THIS TIME, I WOULD LIKE TO CONGRATULATE BLANCA TE HARRA PLANNING COM PLANNING MANAGER OF THE SITE PLAN AND PLAT DIVISION AS THE NEW EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH.

BLANCA HAS TRAINED NEW STAFF TO HELP THEM LEARN MORE ABOUT THE SUBDIVISION PROCESS AND HOW TO COLLABORATE WITH OTHER DEPARTMENTS AND OUTSIDE AGENCIES.

HER ROLE IN TRAINING NEW STAFF IS VITAL TO OUR SUCCESS.

BLANCA HAS A PROACTIVE APPROACH IN HER PERFORMANCE OF DUTIES THAT MOTIVATES OTHERS.

SHE DISPLAYS A POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND WORKS TO ENSURE TASKS ARE COMPLETED ON TIME.

SHE'S BEING RECOGNIZED FOR HER CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE TEAM.
