YOU HAVE PROPOSED FEE CHANGES FOR APPLICATIONS SUBMITTED TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION OFFICE ROUGHLY EVERY 4 TO 5 YEARS.

THE PLANNING COMMISSION TAKES A LOOK AT OUR LAND DEVELOPMENT APPLICATION FEES.

WE RESEARCH PEER CITIES IN LOUISIANA AND ALSO A FEW CITIES IN THE SOUTHEAST UNITED STATES.

SO WE LOOKED AT CITY ESSENTIALS ZACHARY, LAFAYETTE, JEFFERSON PARISH, SHREVEPORT, NEW ORLEANS, LAKE CHARLES, AND THEN WE ALSO CONTACTED PLANNING DEPARTMENTS IN TALLAHASSEE, KNOXVILLE, LITTLE ROCK AND BIRMINGHAM.

WE COMPARED OUR FEE SCHEDULE TO THEIR FEES, AND THERE IS ROUGHLY ABOUT A 1,520% INCREASE IN SOME SOME DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS THAT

MOSTLY DUE TO COMPLEX LAND DEVELOPMENT APPLICATIONS THAT DO TAKE A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF STAFF TIME.

THERE IS AN ADDITIONAL $200 STORMWATER REVIEW FEE.

WE WORKED WITH RACHEL AND HER DEPARTMENT ON THAT.

THE DETAILED STORMWATER AND DRAINAGE REPORTS TAKE A CONSIDERABLE AMOUNT OF TIME TO GO THROUGH, AND THERE HAS TO BE A CERTIFIED STORMWATER STAFF MEMBER THAT THAT REVIEWS THAT.

SO WE ARE CAPTURING THAT IN OUR FEES. WE DID COMMIT TO THE FINANCE DEPARTMENT THAT WE WOULD TAKE A LOOK AT THIS EARLY THIS YEAR.

IT WASN'T A WORK PROGRAM FOR LAST YEAR, AND I'LL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS.

THERE IS A RED LINE VERSION. THERE ARE IT DOES LOOK LIKE A LOT ACROSS THE BOARD, BUT WE DID MAKE MINOR ADJUSTMENTS.

THERE'S NOT A TON OF TECHNICAL TIME THAT GOES INTO THAT FROM THE STAFF STANDPOINT.

THAT STAYED THE SAME. THERE WAS SOME OTHER APPLICATIONS WHERE THERE WAS NO INCREASE, BUT I'LL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY QUESTIONS.

AND I DO NEED TO STATE THAT THE DRAFT DOCUMENT WAS HAS BEEN ON A WEBSITE FOR ABOUT 30, 45 DAYS.

WE DID CIRCULATE THIS AMONG THE DEVELOPMENT COMMUNITY THROUGHOUT BATON ROUGE FOR COMMENT AND REVIEW.
