Amending Ordinance 11136 Adopted April 22, 1998 and Ordinance 11362 Adopted August 24, 2005 so as to waive permit fees on property damaged during the 2016 flood. By: Councilman Wilson.
Waiving the provisions of the noise ordinance, Title 12, Chapter 2, Section 12:101(9) so as to allow construction work in or adjacent to a residential area from 5:00 a.m. until sunset on weekdays and Saturdays for a period of 90 days. By: Councilman Heck
Granting administrative leave with pay to employees who are unable to report to work due to the state of emergency declared on or about August 12, 2016, concerning the Great Flood of 2016, pursuant to Section 2.12 of the Plan of Government and Title 1, Chapter 1, Part 1, Section 1:3(d) of the Code of Ordinances for up to seven (7) days commencing August 20, 2016, under certain circumstances and approved by the employee’s appointing authority. B. Waiving and suspending enforcement of certain provisions of the Code of and the Unified Development Code of the City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge regarding temporary housing, parking of motor homes on residential streets, parking in the grass, and single-family occupancy of dwellings for a limited period of time in response to the emergency created by the historic flooding in order to preserve the public peace, health and safety as authorized by Section 2.12 of the Plan of Government and Title 1, Chapter 1, Part 1, Section 1:3(d) of the Code of Ordinances.
