17-01075 Authorizing the Mayor-President to execute an Amendment to that certain HOME Program/Housing Loan Program Agreement authorized by the Metropolitan Council Resolution 51837, which agreement was entered into between the City of Baton Rouge and Parish of East Baton Rouge (hereinafter referred to as City-Parish) and Mid City Redevelopment Alliance, Inc. (hereinafter referred to as Mid City) for the development of the 24th Street Project, said amendment to allow Mid City to use $110,028.00 in additional HOME funds for the project, to use project funds for property acquisition and property rehabilitation, and to substitute a revised budget consistent with said changes, subject to and contingent upon review and final approval by the Contract Grants Review Committee and the Office of the Parish Attorney. Reason for emergency: In order to prevent the potential loss of funding and expeditiously proceed with development of the 24th Street Project, Mid City is requesting authorization from the Council to use $110,028.00 in additional HOME funds for the project, to use project funds for property acquisition and property rehabilitation, and to substitute a revised budget consistent with said changes.
